David Werner

David Werner is an American rock singer and songwriter from Pittsburgh. At nineteen, he signed with RCA and released the 1974–75 albums Whizz Kid and Imagination Quota, both influenced by the UK glam rock of David Bowie and Mott the Hoople. In 1979, he resurfaced with a new wave rock album on Epic.

David Werner (b. circa 1955) was a Pittsburgh songwriting prodigy when he teamed with guitarist Mark Doyle, a recent member of New York blues-rockers Jukin’ Bone, which made two albums in 1972 for RCA Victor.
