Jackie Lomax

Jackie Lomax (May 10, 1944 — Sept. 15, 2013) was an English singer, guitarist, and songwriter from Wallasey, Merseyside, who led a series of R&B/beat acts on the Liverpool scene during the 1960s. In 1969, he released the album Is This What You Want? on Apple Records, followed by a one-off with blues-rockers Heavy Jelly. Signed to Warner Bros. in 1971, he released back-to-back albums within a two-year period, followed by a one-album stint in the hard-rock/soul supergroup Badger. His final output of the era was a pair of albums on Capitol in 1976 and 1977, after which he resigned to occasional sideman work for the remainder of the 20th century.
