Aera were a German jazz-rock band that released four albums on Erlkönig between 1975 and 1980, followed by two further titles on Intercord and Spiegelei during 1981 and 1982. A collection of 1973-era material was issued as Mechelwind by archivists Long Hair Music in 2009.
