Syreeta Wright (Aug. 3, 1946 — July 6, 2004) was an American soul singer and songwriter who debuted with a self-titled album produced and arranged by then-husband Stevie Wonder, released in 1972 on MoWest. Despite divorcing, their partnership yielded a second album on Motown in 1974, after which she released four more solo albums on the label’s Tamla imprint between 1977 and 1983. She also cut four collaborative albums: one in 1977 with G.C. Cameron and three between 1979 and 1982 with Billy Preston.
