Johnny Bristol

Johnny Bristol (Feb. 3, 1939 — March 21, 2004) was an American soul singer and songwriter from Morganton, N.C. who first recorded as one-half of the Tri-Phi singles duo Johnny & Jackey during the late 1950s. After a decade as staff-writer for Motown, he issued two albums on MGM in 1974 and 1975, followed by another pair of titles on Atlantic between 1976 and 1978.
