Michael Mantler

Michael Mantler (born Aug. 10, 1943) is an Austrian trumpeter, composer, and arranger who has been active on the international avant-garde jazz/classical scene since the mid-1960s. Between 1973 and 1988, he released 10 albums on EMI-subsidiary Watt, a label he co-ran with then-wife Carla Bley.
