The Winkies

The Winkies were an English rustic/hard-rock band that released a self-titled album on Chrysalis in 1975. Prior to the album, the band were selected to back Brian Eno on what turned out to be his only solo tour, cut short by a medical emergency. Canadian-born frontman Philip Rambow recorded two solo albums between 1979 and 1981 and gained industry renown as a songwriter.
