The Happy Family

The Happy Family were a Scottish New Wave/art-pop band that released the album The Man on Your Street and the extended-play Puritans, both on 4AD in 1982. The band was formed by the ex-Josef K rhythm section of bassist Dave Weddell and drummer Ronnie Torrance along with singer/songwriter Nick Currie, who later recorded as Momus. Torrance was replaced on the EP by Ian Stoddart, who later surfaced in electro-posters Win with former Fire Engines frontman David Henderson.
