Edgar Froese

Edgar Froese (born June 5, 1944 — Jan. 20, 2015) was a German multi-instrumentalist best known as the mastermind behind electronic pioneers Tangerine Dream, which he founded in 1967 and led for nearly five decades. In 1974, he debuted as a solo artist with the album Aqua on Brain Metronome. Between 1975 and 1983, he released five further solo albums on Virgin.
