Herbie Mann

Herbie Mann — aka Herbert Jay Solomon (April 16, 1930 — July 1, 2003) — was an American jazz multi-reedist from Brooklyn who was musically active for half a century. He released several albums apiece on Bethlehem, Prestige, Riverside, Savoy, and Verve during the 1950s before signing to Atlantic for a prolific run of titles during the following three decades.
