Atila – Intención (1976)

Intención is the second album by Spanish symphonic/hard-rock band Atila, released in August 1976 on BASF.

The album packs its four long tracks with organ, Mellotron, Moog, and scorched lead guitar, then cuts that mass with sudden drops into quieter space before the next surge.

Keyboardist Benet Nogué and guitarist Eduardo A. Niebla form the album’s main axis, while Atila wrote the music throughout and Frances Downie wrote the lyrics.

“Intención” opens with drums and organ, moves into a harsher section under female voices and a quick keyboard burst, drops to a quieter vocal center, and closes under a final wave of synth and organ pressure.

“Cucutila” begins with measured drum strikes and stately organ chords, then flashes into a brighter instrumental run with synth in front and choir above.

“Día Perfecto” builds step by step from scattered sound into clipped organ figures and sharp guitar answers, then resolves in a calmer organ passage.

“El Principio del Fin” lays out the album’s largest design through church-organ weight, long fuzz-guitar stretches, synth leads, hushed drum-organ passages, and a final distorted clash.
