Neil Ardley

Neil Ardley (May 26, 1937 — Feb. 23, 2004) was an English pianist and composer from Carshalton, Surrey, who played with the New Jazz Orchestra and the Don Rendell/Ian Carr Quintet during the 1960s. As a headliner, he released the album A Symphony of Amaranths on Regal Zonophone in 1972, followed by Kaleidoscope of Rainbows on Gull in 1976 and Harmony of the Spheres on Decca in 1979. He also handled brass arrangements on the 1969/70 Colosseum albums Valentyne Suite and Daughter of Time.
