George Clinton

George Clinton (born July 22, 1941) is an American R&B-funk singer, songwriter, bandleader, and record producer from Kannapolis, NC, who concurrently headed the super-bands Parliament and Funkadelic between 1970 and 1981. As a solo artist, he released four albums on Capitol Records between 1982 and 1986, followed by a pair of titles on Prince‘s Paisley Park label between 1989 and 1993.
