Alison Moyet (June 18, 1961) is an English soul-pop singer from Basildon, Essex, who rose to prominence as the vocal half of synthpop duo Yazoo with keyboardist/songwriter Vince Clarke. As a solo artist, Moyet released two albums on CBS between 1984 and 1987, followed by another pair of titles on Columbia during the early 1990s.
