Sweet Sensation

Sweet Sensation were an English soul-pop octet from Manchester that released 10 singles on Pye between 1974 and 1977, including four featured on the group’s 1975 self-titled album. The group hit number-one on the U.K. charts with their second single “Sad Sweet Dreamer.”

Members: Junior Daye (vocals), Roy Flowers (drums), Vincent James (vocals), Barry Johnson (bass), Marcel King (vocals), St. Clair L. Palmer (vocals), Gary Shaugnessy (guitar), Leroy Smith (keyboards)

  1. Hi, The band used to stay in a flat close by to me in Whalley Range, Manchester. On the odd occasion, I used to go there and listen to them jamming. Great Band. I still have a postcard St.Clair sent me in 1974 where the band were touring in Jersey in the Channel Islands.

    I hope he is well and still making good music.
