Hal Galper

Hal Galper (born April 18, 1938) is an American post-bop pianist from Salem, Mass., who released three albums on Mainstream Records in 1972/73, followed by albums on SteepleChase and enja during the second half of the decade. His playing is heard on ’60s/’70s-era albums by Chet Baker, Sam Rivers, Randy Brecker, Pete Yellin, Nat Adderley, Cecil McBee, John Scofield, and Phil Woods.
