Colin Scot

Colin Scot (1941–1999) was an English–Canadian singer–songwriter who released a self-titled album in 1971 on United Artists, recorded with members of Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, and Van Der Graaf Generator. On Warner Bros., he released the 1973/74 albums Just Another Clown and Out of the Blue.


Scot was born Colin Thistlewaite on March 17, 1941, in Canada to Californian parents. In 1966, he emerged in The What’s New, a four-man garage band formed in Long Beach, Calif. They moved to Paris and issued four singles that year on the French labels Disques Vogue and Number One.
