Captain & Tennille

Captain & Tennille were the American husband/wife pop duo of keyboardist “Captain” Daryl Dragon and singer/pianist Toni Tennille. The couple released four albums between 1975 and 1978 on A&M, followed by two 1979/80 albums on Casablanca.

They scored the No. 1 Billboard song of 1975 with “Love Will Keep Us Together,” an upbeat Neil Sedaka cover followed by the erotic ballad “The Way That I Want to Touch You.” Subsequent hits include “Lonely Night (Angel Face),” the Miracles cover “Shop Around,” and their ‘Moog critters’ version of “Muskrat Love.” After their 1980 soft rock hit “Do That to Me One More Time,” Toni launched a solo career focused on jazz standards.
