Paul Zaza

Paul Zaza is a Canadian musician, producer, engineer, and film music composer. In 1977, he released three albums of instrumental jazz-funk on the Baby Grand label, plus an album each under the studio group names Just a Little Bit and Hot In Here. The track “Burbank Robber” (from Hot In Here) was used in an episode of SCTV and as the intro theme of The Sensational 70’s, a docu-series hosted by Peter Jennings.

As a soundtrack composer, Zaza scored music to the 1980/81 horror films My Bloody Valentine and Prom Night and the 1983 seasonal classic A Christmas Story, the last two in collaboration with Carl Zittrer.

He was born Paul James Zaza on September 1, 1952, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
