Eyes

Eyes were an American art-rock/pop band from Cleveland, Ohio, that released the album Stroke a Horse’s Navel on self-press Eyes Record Co., Inc. in 1977. All 12 songs are credited to the band with no information about the identities of those involved. The album was recorded at QCA Studios in “Queen City” (Cincinnati) and engineered by Eric Probst. The front-cover and labels feature a cartoon drawing of an anthropomorphized horse holding a cigar with its shoehorn. Lyrics to the title-track are printed on the back cover, which also states: “This album is dedicated to Hank Shadrach’s Smashers.”
