General Johnson — aka Norman Earl Johnson (May 23, 1943 — Oct. 13, 2010) was an American soul singer from Huntersville, Va., primarily known as the featured vocalist in Chairmen of the Board. In 1972, he released the punningly titled Generally Speaking on Invictus Records, followed by a self-titled album on Arista in 1976.
