Aviator were an American melodic-rock band from New York that released a self-titled album on RCA in 1986. This marked the fourth recorded pairing between guitarist Richie Cerniglia and drummer Michael Ricciardella, who previously played together in The Illusion, Wiggy Bits, and Network. Separately, Ricciardella cut two albums with Barnaby Bye and Cerniglia played in Ellen Shipley’s backing band The Numbers.
