The Grodeck Whipperjenny

The Grodeck Whipperjenny were an American psych-rock/funk band from Cincinnati that released a self-titled album on James Brown’s People Records in 1970. The following year, the band backed the singer on his King release Sho Is Funky Down Here.

Members: Mary Ellen Bell (vocals), Kenny Poole (guitar, vocals), David Matthews (piano, organ, trombone), Michael Moore (bass), Jimmy Madison (drums)
