Loudness

Loudness were a Japanese hard-rock/metal band that debuted with an album on Blow Up in 1981, followed over the next two years by a pair of titles on B&M. Between 1983 and 1985, the band released four albums on Columbia, followed by six further ’80s-era longplayers on ATCO.

Members: Akira Takasaki (guitar), Masayoshi Yamashita (bass, 1981-92, 2000-present), Minoru Niihara (vocals, 1981-88, 2000-present), Munetaka Higuchi (drums, 1981-93, 2000-08), Michael Vescera (vocals, 1989-91)
