George-Edwards

George-Edwards were an American art-pop duo from Detroit that self-pressed the album 38:38 in 1977. It contains 13 self-produced originals, including “You Came Away,” “Planets and Stars,” “La Jolla,” “Magnetic Vision,” and “Solar Flare.” The original album was pressed with no cover in a limited run of 100 copies. A non-album single, “I See Your Smile,” was pressed the following year.

The album and single were collected with additional material on a 2009 CD by South Korean archivists Bella Terra Records. Further recordings from the late ’70s and ’80s were issued on the CD Archives by Drag City. The duo reunited in the 2010s and released the discs 41:57 and Chapter III.
