The Raspberries were an American pop-rock band from Mentor, Ohio, that released four albums between 1972 and 1974 on Capitol.

Members: Wally Bryson (lead guitar, vocals), Eric Carmen (guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, 1970-75, 2004-09), Jim Bonfanti (drums, 1970-73, 2004-09), John Aleksic (bass, 1970), Dave Smalley (guitar, vocals, bass, 1971-73, 1999-2009), Scott McCarl (bass, vocals, guitar, 1974-75, 1999-2004), Michael McBride (drums, 1974-75)

Background

The Raspberries evolved from The Choir, a Cleveland garage band with drummer Jim Bonfanti and singing guitarists Wally Bryson and Dave Smalley.
