Max Romeo — aka Maxwell Livingston Smith (Nov. 22, 1947) — is a Jamaican dub/roots-reggae artist who released a string of singles on Lee’s and Unity during the late 1960s, culminating with the album A Dream on Panama Records. Since that time, he has released more than 30 albums on Dynamic Sounds, Solid Groove, and numerous other labels, most notably the 1976 Federal Records release War ina Babylon in collaboration with The Upsetters.
