José Cid (born Feb. 4, 1942) is a Portuguese keyboardist, vocalist, and composer who emerged as part of Estoril psych legends Quarteto 1111, in which he played from 1967 to 1975. In 1971, he debuted as a solo artist with two EPs and a self-titled album on Columbia. His popularity peaked with the symphonic/conceptual work 10.000 anos depois entre Vénus e Marte, released in 1978 on Orfeu.
