Full Moon was an American hard-rock band from central Pennylvania that released a 1980 self-titled album on Montagne Records, followed by a 1982 standalone single on local-indie Baldwin.

Background
Full Moon formed in 1974 in Hummelstown, Penn., when guitarist brothers John and Joseph Fischer started the band. The brothers later completed the quartet with bassist Joe Wilhelm and drummer Alan Hetzel. The Fischers built their twin-guitar sound around harmonized lead parts played through Les Paul guitars and Marshall amplifiers. Full Moon also carried Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird” in the live repertoire.
The four members averaged 19 years of age at the first-album sessions. Full Moon recorded the seven-song set at Marietta Theater in Marietta, Penn., where the band set up in the former screen and orchestra-pit area and used the projection booth as a control room. The quartet played the songs largely live with few overdubs for a self-titled private-press debut on Montagne Records.
