Chris Youlden

Chris Youlden is an English blues-rock singer who sang in the second lineup of Savoy Brown from 1968 to 1970. As a solo artist, he issued the 1973/74 Deram albums Nowhere Road and City Child.


Youlden was born in 1943 in Dagenham, Essex. In 1967, he replaced Brice Portius as the vocalist in blues rockers Savoy Brown. He sang on the band’s 1968–70 albums Getting to the Point, Blue Matter, A Step Further, and Raw Sienna.
