Toshiyuki Miyama & The New Herd

The New Herd were a Japanese avant-jazz big band headed by conductor Toshiyuki Miyama (born Oct. 31, 1921). The band was active as a recording unit between 1965 and 1982, releasing albums on Columbia, Teichiku, Three Blind Mice, and other labels.
