The Mighty Lemon Drops

The Mighty Lemon Drops were an English underground rock band that released four albums on Sire between 1986 and 1989. They reached the UK Singles Chart with “The Other Side of You,” “Out of Hand,” “Fall Down (Like the Rain),” and “Inside Out.” In the US, “My Biggest Thrill” received heavy airplay on college radio.

Members: Paul Marsh (vocals), David Newton (guitar), Keith Rowley (drums), Tony Linehan (bass, 1985-89), Martin Gilks (drums, 1985), Marcus Williams (bass, 1989-93)


The Mighty Lemon Drops formed in 1985 from the remnants of Active Restraint, a Wolverhampton post-punk band that released the 1982 single “Terror in My Home” / “Turns Out Roses” on the London indie Sticky Label Records.
