Alain Kan

Alain Kan (born Sept. 14, 1944) is (or was) a French singer who first released a round of chanson-pop singles during the mid-1960s. He reemerged as a post-psych glam rocker with a string of 1971–73 singles, followed by three albums between 1974 and 1979 and a fourth in 1986. He disappeared in April 1990 with no subsequent documentation of his whereabouts.

Kan was born in Paris, where he was raised by his mother and step-father. He took his father-in-law’s surname, having never known his biological father. At age three, he took up singing.
